Our weekly love-in!
I’m a big fan of Havaianas flip flops and each summer I look forward to the arrival of Make Your Own Havaianas at BT2. The onsite customising booth boasts over 120 killer colour combinations of soles and straps, including pretty pastels and this season’s neon brights, which can be decorated with a selection of over twenty five various pins ranging from hearts and stars to quirkier designs and gorgeous new charms. There is also a selection of Swarovski crystals to add some sparkle. With over 900 combinations of straps, soles, pins, charms and crystals, the possibilities are endless! Available at BT2 Grafton Street, Dundrum and Blanchardstown. Prices start at €20.
Ok so I must admit, Topshop heiress Chloe Jade Green is not my favourite of the famous faces. The fact she has her pick of Daddy’s high street fashion goldmine at her fingertips and turns up to events in mismatched, ill-fitting ensembles really gets my goat! But like every red-blooded female out there, my heart skipped a beat when I saw Ms Green’s shoe creations for Topshop. The shoes are not only so fabulous I would sell my mother for a pair, they’re also cleverly distinguishable with their green sole, a la Louboutin’s red soles. The Chloe Jade Green collection will be available to buy from May 17th and with prices ranging from stg£80-£200, there’s something to fit most price ranges. Is May too early to start penning my Santa wish list?
This week I’m loving autumn/winter trends 2012/2013. I know. I KNOW. We haven’t even gotten anywhere close to the summer we’re yet due (as I write this, hailstones are pounding against my window and I think the wind is going to blow my house to Kansas), and I’m already being captivated by the clothes for next season. It’s not really my fault though! Blame Vuitton, McQueen, Celine and Lanvin for catching my eye. The saucy minxes! Maybe it’s because our weather is so dismal and I’m not really banking on much sunshine in the next few months that I’m being tempted in to the dark side. Either way, I can’t get enough of these future fashions; it makes me long to go berry-picking and kick my way through golden, crunchy leaves. Wearing something incredibly chic, naturally.
