Who run the music world? Adele of course! Not content with wiping the floor with the competition at the Brits and Grammys, Adele’s gone and done it again by taking away a massive 12 awards at the 2012 Billboard Awards. Her awards included Top Artist, Top Billboard 200 album, Top Pop Album and Top Pop Artist. The only awkward moment of the night, Adele wasn’t present to pick up one single award, oops!

The Bee Gees legend Robin Gibb passed away on Sunday at the age of 62, following a lengthy battle with cancer. The father of three had been fighting colon and liver cancer for some time but yesterday, family spokesman Doug Wright released a statement with the sad news, saying; “The family of Robin Gibb, of the Bee Gees, announce with great sadness that Robin passed away today following his long battle with cancer and intestinal surgery. The family have asked that their privacy is respected at this very difficult time.”

Perhaps Simon Cowell has been spending a little too much time prancing about and preening himself for the A-list panel of US X Factor, because he has severely neglected the British version and a replacement for Judge Kelly Rowland has still not been found. Instead, they’ve decided to bring back Spice Girl Geri Halliwell – who, may I remind you, was booed last year – to temporarily fill the empty space on the panel. Geri will join judges Louis Walsh, Tulisa and Gary Barlow at the Liverpool auditions. Bring the ear plugs Geri, just in case the boos continue!

Bollywood star and Celebrity Big Brother winner (although everyone scratched their heads at the time) Shilpa Shetty has given birth to her first child. Husband Raj Kundra announced the arrival of the couple’s baby boy on Twitter, saying; “God has blessed us with a beautiful baby boy. Both mother and baby are fine. I am thrilled to bits!!!!!!” Let’s hope the baby lives a more drama-free, but no less luxurious life than his mother! Names Shilpa, we need names!
