Cork’s most stylish ladies raced down to one of the most glamorous events of the summer season earlier this month – the Glam-Olympics at the Silver Springs Moran Hotel.
While Ireland’s athletes continue their intensive training to be in peak physical condition for the imminent sporting events of 2012, the Silver Springs called upon ladies who deserved a gold medal in glamour for a far more fashionable affair.
To warm up, guests underwent nothing more strenuous than selecting which summer-inspired cocktails and canapés they would like to enjoy, before choosing their Glam-Olympic pampering activity – an express manicure, fortune telling with a Tarot/Sandman reader or a relaxing neck and shoulder massage, while the Tritone Trio supplied the music.
This was all followed by a summer-themed dinner in the hotel’s Watermarq Restaurant and then an opportunity to learn from the best when it comes to all things fashionable as Xposé’s Lisa Cannon talked guests through the latest style trends for work and evening wear from Debenhams.
