Ex-Corrie actress Helen Flanagan has revealed on Alan Carr: Chatty Man that she narrowly avoided being arrested at a Boots store in east Sussex after she tried to steal items worth up to £200.

Although admitting she is ‘mortified’, Helen claims it was all a genuine mistake and blames it on the ‘ditzy’ attitude she tries very hard to shake off. Speaking to Alan, she explained: “I was feeling hot and flustered. I walked out of the shop, I had enough. Security said, ‘Excuse me’. I looked down and there was about £200 worth in my basket. I said, ‘Oh God, I am so sorry. I would not do this kind of thing’. The security woman says, ‘Right, I’m going to have to ring the police’. I said, ‘You are joking?’ I told her it was an honest mistake and she was like, ‘That’s what they all say’.”

Although she was told she would not face prosecution over the incident, the cashier proceeded to tell Helen that she would be barred from entering any of the branches for five years. “I suppose I did sound a bit of a chav because I used the F-word. It was really annoying. You can’t have the power to ban someone from Boots!” said the I’m a Celebrity star.

She continued on: “I shop there all the time. She knew what I did for a job and she just stood there nodding. It was awful. It was absolutely mortifying. I thought, ‘They can’t arrest me, I will still go to Boots’. People do walk out without thinking. I suppose I am quite ditzy.”

A spokesperson for Boots confirmed the incident had occurred, saying: “There was no police involvement at the time and no legal repercussions have followed. We can confirm that the young lady was not banned from our stores and we have contacted her to clear up any confusion over the matter.”

Amanda Bynes has been arrested for reckless endangerment after throwing a foot-long bong out of the window of her New York apartment.

Sources told NBC news that police were called by the doorman who complained that Amanda was smoking marijuana in the lobby. When the officers entered the actress’ apartment, they commented that there was a ‘heaving smell of marijuana and smoke.’ When officers spotted the bong in the room, Bynes allegedly threw it out of a high-rise window, in full view of officers.

Although no-one was injured, Amanda was taken to hospital for a psychiatric evaluation before being booked at the police station for the endangerment charge, possession of marijuana and tampering with evidence. She will appear in court on Friday over the charges.

It’s been quite a ride but the end is finally nigh as we say goodbye to the Wolfpack. After four years Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms et al are finally ready to hang up their party hats and in order to do this they go right back to where it all started – Las Vegas.

The film doesn’t quite follow the premise of the other two in that no one actually has a drink during their escapades. Instead Phil (Cooper), Stuart (Helms) and Doug (Bartha) are committed to transporting the wayward Alan (Galifianakis) to a specialist centre to help him deal with his mental health issues (after a rather unfortunate incident with a giraffe). Unfortunately the ghosts of movies past come back to haunt them and they find themselves kidnapped by the imposing Marshall (Goodman). He has been hustled by the shady Mr Chow (Jeong) who has escaped from a Bangkok prison and since Alan has been corresponding with the cunning criminal he thinks that the Wolfpack are his best hope of finding the fugitive and retrieving the gold that was stolen from him.

Keeping Doug as security he sends the trio off to find the unpredictable Chow and the journey leads them to Mexico and then Vegas where they encounter some familiar faces and relive some of their experiences from the first movie.

If you’ve seen the other two then you know what to expect here and there are plenty of nods to the previous movies that fans will love. They have really attempted to tie up all the loose ends here and they completely expanded the role of Mr Chow who was a minor but hilarious character in the previous two movies. There is plenty of gross-out humour and lots of twists and turns.

It does feel a bit samey in places but this is not a bad thing as audiences have developed a real affection for these characters. The cast all appear to have had great fun making this (why wouldn’t they) and they end where they started – with a wedding. McCarthy shines in her small but significant role and it’s nice to catch up with Heather Graham’s loveable escort Jade from the first film.

This is far from a masterpiece and you could nitpick it to death but for fans of the franchise it is a perfect ending to the Wolfpack’s adventures. One of the definite highlights is a segment in the middle of the credits which I’d love to tell you about but don’t want to ruin it for you. Suffice to say that it’s classic Hangover.

There is nothing here that you haven’t seen before but if it’s not broken why fix it? You will enjoy this far more if you have seen the previous two although there is enough humour to entertain a newbie. However, a knowledge of what went before will help you make more sense of the story.

This wears its heart on its sleeve and isn’t trying to be the next Citizen Kane and is simply trying to entertain, which it succeeds in. While it won’t be troubling the Oscars this is a great way to while away a couple of hours will leave you with a smile on your face.

Amanda Bynes’ personal life and ego continue to spiral out of control as the actress has been involved in two scandals this week!

The first occurred when two men, one a photographer Giovanni Arnold and another who will only go by the name of ‘Joe’, opened up to In Touch Weekly magazine about the shocking sights witnessed at Amanda Bynes’ impromptu apartment party.

The men claim that they were present as Amanda smoked marijuana on a bare mattress in her bedroom, forcing Amanda to jump to her defence, tweeting: “That’s not my bed! Those aren’t my toes! My toes are pedicured!”

In the photographs, Amanda’s apartment is described as ‘filthy’, littered with rubbish and take-out containers and the windows have been blacked out with spray paint. They also claim there were empty drug bags dotted all around the apartment. Giovanni told the magazine: “Weed was everywhere, on the bed, all over the floor. She probably gets so high that sometimes she won’t even leave her house.” Joe added, “One minute she’s cool and down-to-earth, the next, she’s totally different – indecisive and she can’t hold a conversation. Mentally, she is all over the place.”

In another snap, she has a half burnt roll-up in her mouth and is sitting bare-foot with cuts and bruises all over her feet. They also accuse the fragile starlet of doing cocaine in front of them. Describing the sparse decor, Giovanni says: “Her living room is basically empty: She has two big purple chairs and a little dining room table, that’s it. It’s almost like she couldn’t bother to get more blinds.” Joe concluded with: “ You can tell that she craves attention, but at the same time, it makes her feel uncomfortable because she is so uncomfortable about her appearance. She talks about losing weight constantly – she’s fixated. As weird as she is, she’s still very Hollywood: demanding and obsessed with how she looks.”

The very same week, Amanda attempted to board a private jet from LA to New Jersey but couldn’t provide any valid governmental ID for the air officials, and when refused entry to the jet, Amanda was heard shouting, “I’m Amanda Bynes!” and demanded the pilot Google her identity to verify who she was.

Looks like this crazy train is showing no signs of slowing down any time soon!

The Wild Foods Masterclass at Macreddin Village in Co.Wicklow, offers willing foodies an opportunity to learn and discover all there is to know about Ireland’s abundance of wild foods!

The rapper’s mentor Birdman confirmed the news on Twitter, saying: “Lil Wayne’s Cash Money family has a new member! Paris Hilton: RichgangRichgirl.”

The 32-year-old socialite also tweeted her excitement, saying: “Love Lil Wayne, he is so amazing! Can’t wait for our new song! #I<3YMCMB”.

This is not the first time Miss Hilton has dabbled in the music industry; in 2006 she released an album which included the song (which scraped through the charts) “Stars are Blind.”

Speaking about her new album, Paris assures ‘music fans’ it will be a different sound: “the new album is a lot different than my first album. It’s really going to be house music.”

Kim Kardashian’s baby shower has been marked in the diary as June 2nd and the ostentatious event has already begun with a sneak peek of the invitations!

Guests lucky enough to be invited received a music box as their invite. When the box is opened, the ballerina dancing inside seems to be modelled on the famous Mum’s face and the music she is dancing to is none other than Kanye West’s song “Hey Mama”.

The invitations have been “given with love by Kris Jenner, Shelli Azoff, Kourtney Kardashian (and) Khloe Kardashian-Odom and guests must RSVP by May 28 – four days before the event.”

Adele has finally chosen a godfather for son Angelo James, and I’m not going to lie…I’m supremely jealous!

Adele has asked good friend, comedian Alan Carr to perform the godfatherly duties on her first-born.

Reportedly, the choice was between Alan and Eastenders actor Sid Owen, but Alan was chosen in the end as Adele had spent a lot of quality time with him and his family recently. A source told The Irish Sun: “It was a toss-up between Sid and Alan for the godfather role and technically kids can have more than one godfather if the parents want. But even though the talk was that Sid was frontrunner, Alan’s been told by Adele he’s the godfather because he does so much with her and her new family. He’s stayed over at her house in London and gone to gigs with her as well as on long walks. It means if anything happens to Adele and her partner Simon, he’ll have a big part to play in Angelo’s life. And if Adele’s thought far ahead, Alan’s likely to be named in her will as a potential guardian along with her mum Penny.”
